Biographical / historical:

Ronald W. Kosh enlisted in the United States Air Force in October 1962 and trained in air traffic control and combat control. His overseas deployments included assignments in the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. Missions during the Vietnam War included deployment with Special Forces units and providing forward air control for interdiction of North Vietnamese Army materiel.
