Blaise S. DiMartino served in the United States Navy from September 1966 to August 1970 as a machinery repairman, 3rd class. He spent one year in Vietnam aboard a river boat repair ship and 24 months aboard the USS Monticello (LSD-35), in the Pacific Region.
