Biographical / historical:

Kenneth D. Rupe was drafted into the United States Army in May 1942 and was assigned to hospital administration in the 300th General Hospital. The unit shipped overseas in the fall of 1943 and Rupe spent the bulk of the war in Naples, Italy in the 300th Headquarters.
