Jerome "Bud" Holzman served in Europe with the United States Army 94th Infantry Division from March 1945 to August 1945. As World War II came to an end, his unit was assigned to patrol, guard, and similar occupation duties in Germany and Czechoslovakia. He spent the final three months of his overseas duty at George S. Patton's 3rd Army Headquarters.
