McLean Area, SAMUEL AUGUST PEARSON HOUSE, near Dulles Airport Access Road. Samuel August Pearson home, Lewinsville, now McLean. Location: Chain Bridge Road near Dulles Airport Access Road's junction with Dolley Madison Boulevard and large storage tank nearby. Foreground is Chain Bridge Road. Destroyed in 1962 for Dulles Airport Access 90 and ell extension 1900, by S.A. Pearson who was born in Beulah Road section of Vienna in 1860. He bought land from a Mrs. Connally, widow, a farm of 78 acres. He acquired 52 acres across road in 1909 and used it all as a dairy farm until 1922 when land across road became Hunting Ridge. Trees were sugar maples. Note water tower at right.
