Scope and content:

This subseries is arranged numerically with Miscellaneous numbered plats filed first, followed by Job number files. The miscellaneous numbered plats are grouped by county (Chesterfield and Henrico) and Richmond and then arranged numerically 1-1000. Unfortunately information explaining the numerical system of these files does not exist. The plats were in boxes marked, Property of Policy Writing Dept., and seem to have corresponding labels, CPB are Chesterfield plats, HPB are Henrico plats, and RPB are Richmond plats. Again, researchers interested in specific plats should consult all the files for the county.

The Job number files are arranged numerically and include not only plats from Brooks, but also some plats from LaPrade and Foster and Miller. Files without job numbers are located at the end, grouped together by county.
