Two women are posed sitting next to each other in front of a wall map in an office next to a desk; one of the women is speaking on the telephone. There are stacked boxes on top of haberdashery cabinets in the background. The woman on the left is wearing a skirt suit, necklace, and earrings. The woman on the right is wearing a dark-colored dress, a necklace, and earrings. Original envelope housing the negative was labeled "Margaret Allen." An additional handwritten note on the envelope reads, "718-11-NW-DC" [718 11th St. NW, Washington, DC]. Photograph is undated, c. 1940s
