Black and white photographic negative, portrait of a woman and a man. The woman is posed sitting on a chair in front of lace curtains. She is wearing a checked, short-sleeved blouse with a dark bow tie, a dark skirt, and a bracelet. The man is posed standing beside her with his arm around her shoulder. He is wearing a US Army dress uniform with an Anti-Air Craft Command patch, Private rank insignia, three service stripes, a Combat Infantryman Badge, two rows of service ribbons and awards, and a ring on his left hand. Original envelope housing the negative was labeled "Joe Alexander." An additional handwritten note on the envelope reads, "700 N. Col. St., Alex Va." Photograph is undated, c. 1940s
