(1 reel of microfilm, 1.75 in.) 1850-1948 Three minute books of the Flat Fork Baptist Church. Volume I: January 19, 1850 to April 11, 1869, begins with the organizing of the church, and contains minutes for monthly church meetings. The minutes include general business transactions, acceptance and exclusion of members, appointments of clergy, obituaries, and other similar actions. At the back of the volume are lists of members, lists of pastors, and the original deed for the church property. The lists of members include changes in names of female members due to marriage, reasons for members leaving the church, and death rates of members who remained with the church until their deaths. Volume II covers the period of May 8, 1869 to May 12, 1895 and Volume III runs from July 13, 1895 to August 1, 1948. Both of these volumes contain the same sort of material as the first: membership lists, obituaries, and minutes of meetings.
