 Scope and Contents

Published issues of the zine Porch Beers and other smaller zines created by queer author Elliott Stewart and Porch Beers Press. These zines cover a variety of topics relating to specific aspects of Appalachian culture through a queer and transmasculine perspective. Topics include fandom, food, radical, unapologetic queerness in Appalachia, anti-fascism, and many more. Nine zines of varying sizes are included within this collection, being published from the early 2010s onward. Stewart grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, and then moved to Tennessee. Stewart has been making zines since age 14, and continues to make musings on his life and the world around him through the eyes of a queer trans man.

Includes the following issues of Porch Beers: "Porch Beers" Issues #1: Fandom, #4: All the Bacon and Eggs You Have, #4.5: A People's History in the Food Revolution, #5: Radically and Unapologeitically Queer, "A Porch Beers 40 oz: Video Images" mini zine.
