Entries include last and first names, value of merchandise, and dates of transactions; specific merchandise is not indicated. The dimensions of the ledger are 3 in. x 6 1/2 in. x 15 in.

The name of Williamsport was in use from 1801-1845; from 1845 on this community was named Pruntytown.
