    <head>Content Description</head>
<p>Four theater broadsides advertising the Boston Academy of Music's productions for November and December of 1860, Charlotte Cushman is given top billing on each. Cushman (1816-1876) was one of the greatest actors of her era and an open lesbian.</p>  </scopecontent>
