    <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>61 pages of entries in a bound leather journal of a young American women who traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, and England in 1900.  She is accompanied by a friend, Sally Smith, Mrs. Reynolds, and a woman named Georgia.  Her trip begins in Venice where she is courted by many Italian soldiers, partakes in gondola rides, and enjoys the sights.  She then travels to Verona while on her way to Innsbruck, Austria.  She also visits Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland.  Once she get to Paris, France, she and her company attend the "Exposition Universelle".  After visiting London, she heads back home to the states via a steam ship.</p>  </scopecontent>
