<p>Maria Carter, daughter of Charles Carter of "Cleve," King George County, Virginia married William Armistead of "Hesse," Gloucester County, Virginia William Cocke, son of Elizabeth Fauntleroy Cocke and Bowler Cocke, married Jane Armistead. Their son, William Armistead Cocke had among other children, Thomas Lewis Preston Cocke who married Mary Booth Curtis.
