    <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>Five dis-bound sections of a ledger kept by Ellyson Currie (1780-1829), a lawyer in Lancaster County, Virginia, 1820- 1824.  Records are for fees, deed recordings, and payments received for various accounts.  Currie was a large land owner, attorney,  and judge who served in the Virginia House of Delegates.</p>  </scopecontent>
