<p>This collection consists of a full plate mounted albumen photograph of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The photograph was inscribed to Benson J. Lossing by General William Reading Montgomery between 1864 and 1871. The handwritten inscription mentions history of Christ Church, including George Washington's pew being intact. A second inscription reads 'Photograph By Hartman Marshall House Alexandria, Va.'</p>  </scopecontent>
