This collection consists of items realted to John C. Nelson, including a VMI scrapbook, and papers and photographs that date from his service as First Lieutenant, 119th Infantry, 30th Division, American Expeditionary Forces.

 Biographical / Historical

John C. Nelson graduated from VMI in 1918. During World War I he served in France with the 119th Infantry, 30th Division. He was captured on September 29, 1918 at Bellicourt, France and relased after the armisticice.
