    <head>Biographical History</head>
<p>Christopher B. Howard was the 24th president of Hamden-Sydney College. He graduated from Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas in 1987 and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the United States Air Force Academy in 1991. He attended Oxford University from 1991 to 1994 where he received a Master of Philosophy and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Politics. Later, in 2003, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. He became the president of Hampden-Sydney College in 2009 and then in 2016, he left Hampden-Sydney and became the president of Robert Morris University until 2021. In February 2022, he was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer at Arizona State University.</p>  </bioghist>

<p>The Christopher Howard Papers 2009-2016, contains ephemera, correspondence, and photographs documenting the presidency of Dr. Christopher Howard as the 24th president of Hampden-Sydney College from his inauguration until his resignation. Not included in the collection are details about the hiring process of Dr. Howard, other than his submitted documents, and details about his resignation.</p>  </scopecontent>
