The book contains a number of handwritten recipes, primarily desserts and beverages, including recipes for lemon pie, apple custard, butterscotch, and ginger beer. It also includes numerous pages recording farm produce, such as butter and eggs, sold by the owner between January 1911 and July 1919. The book provides insight into early-twentieth century cooking practices and includes numerous recipes for cakes, wine, pickles, and more.
