Biographical / Historical

H2O club was formed in 1935 to "foster higher standards of swimming and to sponsor swimming activities" The club served as life guards for the schools indoor swimming pool, and put on water shows throughout the year. Around 1963 the Corkettes began to work with the H2O club to put on full synchronized swimming routines. By 1979 a synchronized swimming team named the Catalinas had been founded at Longwood combining and formalizing the activities of the other two organizations.
 </bioghist>
