    <head>Ownership and Custodial History</head>
<p>The origins of these scrapbooks is unknown. In August 2010 they were removed from the Health, Athletics, Recreation, and Kinesiology Department by Dr. Carl Riden and Dr. Naomi Johnson-Tsigaridas, then Co-Directors of Women and Gender Studies. They were subsequently transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.</p>  </custodhist>

<p>While the actual person or organization who assembled these scrapbooks is unknown, the vast majority of the content relates to athletics, including player rosters and statistics. With this in mind, it is assumed that the Athletic Association was in some way associated with the production of these scrapbooks</p>  </odd>

<p>These scrapbooks date from 1928 to 1935, and contain photographs, ephemera, and newspaper clippings that relate to athletics, (mainly field hockey, basketball, volleyball, and tennis) and the Athletic Association.  Additionally, the scrapbooks document campus events such as commencement, Circus, and May Day.</p>  </scopecontent>
