<p>The Piedmont Environmental Council works with local residents on land use and conservation challenges. The Piedmont Historic Landscape Preservation Project was funded by the Division of Historic Landmarks in 1986 to produce a rural historic preservation plan for northeast Albemarle County. Jeffrey O'Dell performed the survey of the properties included in the survey.
