The book's contents include food recipes for various wines, desserts, and meals, as well as treatment for agues, pains, and various illnesses. Loose papers within the collection contain more recipes and a love poem. Several names inside the front cover, along with different handwritings, suggest the book may have at least two owners: "Madam White" and Mrs. Ashworth. A typed transcription of the book's contents is also included.</abstract>
