The Sub-group I: Records of the Director of the Virginia Tech Women in Development Program, Mary Hill Rojas were donated to Special Collections and University Archives in 2015.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Records of Women and Gender in International Development was completed in March 2023. Additional subgroups will be processed as received.
The Women in World Development was renamed Women and Gender in International Development. It later became Women and Girls in Development (WGD) and then Women and Girls in International Development.
This record group contains materials relating to the Women and Gender in International Development at Virginia Tech. This includes records documenting programs leading up to the current program, especially Women in World Development.

Included are documents that led to the creation of WID, government and VPI publications and reports, newsletters and pamphlets relating to women in agriculture and development, a DVD of an interview, and professional documents from Rojas.
