    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Carl Linden Rollinson (1909-1995) was born in Gowanda, New York, in 1909. He attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York; the University of Michigan; and the University of Illionis, where he received a PhD in chemistry. He worked for Dupont Company from 1940 until 1942, when he joined Monsanto Co. in Dayton, Ohio, eventually working on the Dayton Project, which was a part of the Manhattan Project. Rollinson was a professor of chemistry at the University of Maryland from 1946 until retiring in 1979. He died on October 31, 1995, and is buried next to his wife Gretchen A. at Parklawn Memorial Park and Menorah Gardens in Rockville, Maryland. </p><p>Sources:
