Item: overcoat with attached cape Date: [1920] Color: navy [cadet] blue, red on underside of cape, darker blue lining except in sleeves (black) Material: [wool blend], [cotton] lining in coat, [satin] lining in sleeves Manufacturer: Condition: white strings coming through the lining, a few very small worn spots and stains, gold strip coming off right sleeve, small holes near inner pocket Special Markings: silver colored metal chain sewn into the interior back of the collar, 8 gold colored buttons on the right side of the cape, 6 larger gold buttons on both right and left sides of the coat, button holes are on the left, 4 large gold buttons on the back, two where the cape ends and two at the bottom, buttons mark the ends of folds which extend down the back of the coat, fold on right separates exposing an overlap in material. All buttons have the [school seal] with VPI above and UT Prosium below. Diagonal gold [bullion] single strip on lower sleeves, right sleeve has an ROTC patch located over the gold strip (light blue lettering on a black patch). Single interior pocket on left side.
