    <head>Scope and Content</head>
<p>The collection contains an Abraham Lincoln gem size 3/4" x 1" campaign tintype issued for the 1864 Presidential race. The image of Lincoln is known as the "Berger Pose," and was taken at Mathew Brady's Washington, D.C. on February 9, 1864 by one of his operatives, Anthony Berger. The picture is surrounded by a decorative golden frame with floral accents in each corner.</p>  </scopecontent>
