The chart was compiled by James Dallas Dishman (1926-2021) of Lynchburg, Virginia.</abstract>

    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>James Dallas Dishman (1926-2021) was the son of James Samuel and Betty Gigsby Dishman. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and earned a degree in accounting from the  University of Richmond after the war. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 40 years of service. He then operated a tax consulting business for 30 years. He married Joan Bennett, and they had several children.     <head>Family History</head>
<p>This collection lists the decendants of Samuel Dishman (Duchemin). Samuel Dishman was a 17th century immigrant to the Northern Neck of Virginia. Samuel Dishman immigrated sometime between 1687 and 1693 and was a French Huguenot from around Normandy.
