    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Robert Snavely was a graduate of Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1876. He later became the Principal of Roanoke City High School.</p><p>There is a Robert Snavely (1853-1932) buried in Kimberling Cemetery, Rural Retreat, Virginia. In the 1900 U. S. Census, he is listed as a school teacher living in Wytheville with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Gay and Marian. In the 1920 U. S. Census, he is listed as a principal of a school, living with his family in Black Lick. </p><p>Sources: </p><p>U. S.
