    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Arthur Pleasant Sibold was from Pearisburg, Virginia. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) between 1909 and 1914, where he rosed in the ranks becoming captain of Company D his senior year. Sibold studied agriculture during his time at VPI. In addition, his senior year he was Vice-President of Planters Club, treasurer of Y.M.C.A., on the football team, Associate Editor of Tech, Associate Editor of Firing Line, Censor of Lee Literary Society, member of Tennis Club, and member of Cotillion Club.</p>  </bioghist>
