Journal records accounts for the sale of cloth, liquor, and
tobacco to individuals and firms in Richmond, Baltimore,
Boston and England; accounts related to Myer's real estate
holdings; expenses and income relating to Myer's stock in
numerous companies. Many of these accounts detail repair work
performed by area craftsmen. Also recorded are expenses and
income of stock held by Myers in such companies as the Bank of
the United States, Brook Turnpike Company, Lynchburg and New
River Railroad Company, and Rhode Island Coal Mine Company.
Myers appears to have engaged also in business ventures with
Thoams Massie, Thomas Nelson, and Needler Robinson.
