During her tenure, VTCSOM became the ninth accredited college at the university. All graduating classes earned 100% match rate to residency programs and exceeded the national mean score on Step 1 and Step 2 licensing exams. She also established the first Department of Interprofessionalism within U.S. medical schools.","Johnson earned her bachelor's from Stanford University, master's in business administration from the University of Kansas, and M.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in history and a B.S. in education in 1969. She received her Master of Arts degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.","Upon graduation with her Ph.D. in history from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1976, she worked as a a regional preservation officer for the Ohio Historic Preservation Office at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio.
