The interviews all pertain to the subject of school segregation and the struggle for civil rights in Prince Edward County and particularly Farmville, Virginia.","Audio recordings were given to the library periodically from the late 1990s through the early 2000s. Greenwood Library interns and staff completed transcripts, after tapes were transferred to the library.","The sound quality of some of recordings is not ideal and the interviews may be difficult to decipher.","This collection contains 44 tapes of 37 oral history interviews and transcripts from 29 of those interviews conducted between 1997 and 2002.
