Ma and I went to the cemetery from there down town to the cloak sale…..Pythena, Katherine, Ann and I went to Grand Rapids. Seen the grand river. About 100,000 inhabitants. A very pretty place. Was to Bradley's also……Mort and Pythena took Ann and I to the station Friday morning. Left Hopkins Station 8:30. Got to White Pigeon 15 to eleven. Had to wait 10 minutes for the next train. Reached Ashtabula 6 o'clock in the evening. Took the trolley from Ashtabula to Conneaut Ohio. Got in Conneaut 8:30 and got down East Springfield 9:30. Had a lovely time while I was there…….Mother and I went to town. Got parlor carpet. Rolla Andrew Johnston was killed by the train after 10 o'clock in the evening Tuesday……Mother, Florence, Ray and I went to Conneaut Lake. I staid for the evening and from there went to Springboro and stayed all night with Irene at G. D. Kings. Had a dandy time. First time ever rode in a row boat.
