It may have been built around 1800. In 1848, it was purchased by Thomas A. Keller. During the time it was owned by the Keller family, it was known as either the Keller House or Keller Hotel. The name was later changed to the Century Hotel. The building was sold and then torn down in 1913 and replaced by the New Century Hotel, which opened in 1915.
