The journal is made up almost entirely of financial records, showing how much he paid workers and various supply orders. Also included in the Journal are Journal entries chronologically earlier show only a few other employees being paid, while some of the later entries there are between 10 to 15 workers. Edward Thurston work with many of the major factories and citizens of Fall River at the time, including the Pocasset Manufacturing Company, Fall River Company, Richard Borden and several others.
