Pickens, and a letter dated June 20, 1834 to Col. Andrew Pickens. The first letter is to the Department of War about rations and assigning someone to record the number of rations daily used. The second letter to the Department of War is informing 'Sir' that he has been appointed by the President of the United States to meet with the Creek Nation. Calhoun writes to Francis Pickens about the 1832 presidential election.
