The maps represent editions dating between 1891 and 1966, referring to surveys performed between 1883 and 1966. Missing are maps from an area between Floyd and Norfolk, along the North Carolina border. It is possible that other maps are missing as well. The reverse of each map contains information about topographic maps, as well as symbols used in the maps.
