Perry’s drugstore in Philadelphia for two years. In 1896, he set up his own drug store in Washington D.C. at the corner of 14th Street and Rhode Island Avenue. A fire damaged the pharmacy on November 18, 1899, causing $2,500 worth of damage. Ill health forced him to close in 1904 and relocate to Herndon, Virginia where he opened another drug store and operated a dairy farm. In December 1916, he and his family moved to Fairfax Court House where he operated a stock farm specializing in Guernsey cattle.","In November 1915, Huddleson was elected Treasurer of Fairfax County, a position he retained for 22 years before ill health forced him to resign in December 1937.
