The circa 1790 two story,  brick dwelling is attributed to early land owner Clay Barclay and served as a tavern. The Red Mill was a grist mill, which is located across the road from the dwelling.  It was built circa 1880 and is located on Cedar Creek on the former Valley Road before it was re-routed in the mid 1930s to go through the Natural Bridge resort. This timber framed mill served local farmers by grinding grain using water power from Cedar Creek.
