Cooke graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1923 and received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in organic chemistry. He was married to Anna Dorsey Cooke and had one daughter, Anna Dorsey Cooke Allison, College of William and Mary class of 1959. His brother Francis West Cooke was College of William and Mary class of 1915. Cooke was a native of Gloucester, Virginia and died at age 77 on October 13, 1974.","Acc. 2009.177 accessioned by Amy C.
