She attended Westhampton College, graduating in the class of 1923 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. She taught math and Latin. In 1925, she married Thomas Jefferson Headlee (4 Mar 1900 – 28 May 1988); the couple had two children, Ann Selden Headlee Patterson (26 Aug 1927 – 12 Oct 1994) and Thomas Jefferson Headlee, Jr. (24 Dec 1931 – 14 April 2014). During her life, Ethney Selden was a member of Ginter Park Baptist Church and a former president of the Baptist Home for Aged Women. She also was a member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club, the Ginter Park Woman's Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She passed away in Richmond, VA on 12 Oct 1989 and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery.","The notes in this collection are organized chronologically by course.
